Drinking Along Parkway Banned To prevent a reoccurrence of recent spates of alcohol-related violence, the Board of Supervisors voted August 8 to ban alcoholic beverages along the American River Parkway – from Hazel Avenue to Watt Avenue –during three major holiday weekends: Memorial Day, July Fourth and Labor Day.
