Ralston Fire 67% Contained

The 8,365-acre Ralston fire started in the bottom of the Middle Fork American River on Tuesday September 5, 2006. The fire has reached the North Fork of the Middle Fork of the American River. The fire is now 67% contained.

The fire has crossed the Middle Fork of the American River onto the Eldorado NF and has burned south to the Rubicon River. Fire is established in three major drainages and has potential to grow significantly. The Ralston Fire is managed by California Incident Management Team 4 and 1,471 firefighters are assigned to the incident.
