TAHOE NATIONAL FOREST- As more than 1,300 firefighters continue to battle the Ralston Fire now nearing 55 percent containment after charring more than 7,000 acres, others are rebuilding in its wake.

Fire crews are still fighting the fire, but have moved east.
As of press time Wednesday the Ralston Fire burning since Sept. 5 in the Tahoe and El Dorado National Forests had charred 7,373 acres and was 53 percent contained.
