Wildfire Burning In El Dorado County

KELSEY, Calif. -- A wildfire broke out north of Placerville in El Dorado County Tuesday afternoon. The Mule fire was burning along Chili Bar Road and the south fork of the American River.
As of early Tuesday evening, the fire had burned more that 50 acres in the area of Rock Creek and Texas Canyon roads, and dozens of residents were voluntarily evacuating.
California Department of Forestry officials said several homes and outbuildings were being threatened by the fire, but so far, none had been damaged.
